Road closure and diversion information

A164

Traffic management has been installed along the A164, including barriers from the Skidby roundabout to the junction with Coppleflat Lane. A temporary 30mph speed limit has been imposed on the A164, between Skidby roundabout and Victoria roundabout, and will be in place for the duration of the scheme.

The A164 will be closed between the hours of 7pm-5am on Tuesday 14 May 2024 and Wednesday 15 May 2024 between Skidby roundabout and Jock’s Lodge junction.

Temporary traffic lights will continue to be in operation on the A164 between the hours of 7pm-5am on weekdays to facilitate works being carried out safely until the scheme is complete.

A1079

From Monday 15 to Tuesday 23 April 2024, lane closures will be in effect on the dual carriageway section of the A1079 to prepare for the installation of a contraflow.

From Tuesday 23 April 2024 to Saturday 27 April 2024, the A1079 will be closed from Killingwoldgraves roundabout to Dunswell roundabout between the hours of 7pm-5am [ending at 5 am on Saturday 27 April 2024] to install barriers and traffic management ready for a contraflow to be put into operation.

Please note that during the closure period of 23 April to 27 April 2024, daytime traffic will be single lane.

From Saturday 27 April 2024 there will be a contraflow in operation on the dual carriageway section of the A1079 until further notice.

Throughout the works, a speed limit of 30mph will apply in works areas.

A diversion route is also in place for cyclists and pedestrians from Skidby roundabout to Beverley via Skidby Main Street/Beverley Road/Mill Road/Keldgate Road/Harland Way/A164.
